This circuit is a push-to-on/off switch.The first stage consisting of IC1(CD4013B) generates a high going pulse,while the second stage (IC2) is wired in toggle mode.When the switch S1 is pressed the relay alternately energies and de-energies.The contacts of relay can be used to switch on/off an appliance.In place of CD4013B CD4027B can also be used to realise the bistable operation.Supply voltage of 5V to 18V can be used to power the circuit.
